Minibus + Trailer – Cat D1 + E
A Category D1+E licence allows you to drive minibuses with up to 16 passenger seats and tow a trailer over 750kg, provided the combined Maximum Authorised Mass (MAM) does not exceed 12,000kg.
Our D1+E driver training course is delivered on a 1-to-1 basis over 3 days. You'll begin with reversing and trailer coupling assessments, followed by practical on-road training, and complete your driving test on the final day. We’ll guide you through every step — from vehicle introduction and driving style correction to reverse manoeuvres, trailer coupling, and the “show me, tell me” test questions.

If you plan to use your PCV Category D1+E licence for professional purposes—such as driving fare-paying passengers—you’ll also need to complete your PCV Driver CPC qualification. This is a legal requirement for anyone driving buses or coaches as part of their job.
