Tyler Training was founded by Nick Tyler.
"Over the last 10 years I have helped more than 1,500 learner drivers pass their LGV Driving test as a qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor). I am a proud Military Veteran and I am very passionate about my company and the trainees that pass through Tyler Training. Once we've worked together, you become part of the Tyler Training family!"
How to make the most of your HGV licence when leaving any of the Military services
Ex-British Armed Forces drivers are finding it increasingly difficult to make the transition from military driving to civilian LGV driving.
The founder of Tyler Training, Nick Tyler, knows exactly how hard it can be, as he is a veteran himself. Tyler Training appreciate that transitioning back into civilian life can be daunting for ex-military personnel.
If this is you, then don’t worry. We’ve been there and done that! We’re here to help facilitate that shift from driving on Salisbury Plain on exercise, into driving professionally for top British haulage and logistics companies.
You have an advantage over a civilian driver and you have been taught the basic HGV licence to start driving, but you might be unsure on your standard as a driver. We can help you gain your licence or help you get your confidence back with how to drive a Cat C & C+E. This is one of our specialities and, once you've completed your training, we can also put you in touch with a national recruitment agency with feedback on your performance.
Tyler Training has been awarded a Bronze Award by the Armed Forces Covenant, and we always work hard to help any Military Veteran that needs our help.

Kim - Office Manager
I have been with Tyler Training for the past year, since I first met the team while doing my apprenticeship to become an HGV driver.
I have now passed my cat c+e licence and also become the office manager, which I find a very rewarding job. I have also learnt many things within the instructor training industry in which I wish to help others grow their skills from.
Helping others within the industry is a very satisfying experience, and I plan to further develop my skills and pass this on to future clients of ours.
I have been around the transport industry all my life, as most of my family have been HGV drivers, and that inspired me to become a driver myself.

I have been with Tyler Training for the past year, and included in my portfolio of skills are driving instructor, driving assessments, tachograph training, spill kit training, banks man training, safe driving training and fire marshal training.
I have been developing my skills within the company and I am passionate about passing these on to the future of the transport industry. As the growth with the academy increases, it will be a privilege to help candidates.
In my spare time I enjoy DIY, fixing cars, going out on my motor bike and socialising with friends and family.
